Pastor Leslie Mahaney was appointed as the new pastor as of July 1, 2023.  Pastor Leslie and her husband Phillip just celebrated their 10th anniversary in March. He works in and resides in Coldwater, MI so they both travel and talk on the phone regularly with each other. Their oldest daughter Crystal is 16 and will be a junior this year, Jonathan is 15 and will be a freshman. Both attend Buckeye Community Schools which is a charter school. Oliver, their youngest, is 5 and will be starting kindergarten at Harrison Hills this year. Their family is excited for the new opportunity to be here serving in this community.

Pastor Leslie graduated from Ashland University in December 2019 with a BA in Religion and a minor in History. She served within the United Methodist Church in July of 2019 at Harmony Chapel and Williamsport UMCc before moving to Nevada and Scioto UMCs in 2022.

Isaiah 43:19 states, " Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the dessert." This is a time of new beginnings, new challenges, renewal and yes grief for what has been lost and changed. We step in this new season honoring what has been but with hope in the word of the Lord seeing the new thing that He will help us do. My hope is that we can come together to both honor the rich traditions of this church in new ways and to make new ones to reach new people to share our faith and our hope in Christ to this community in different ways to make a difference to those who need it most.  Pastor Leslie

Scott UMC Church is fortunate to have Pastor Leslie leading and teaching us. We know Pastor Lesle will always be looking for the needs of our church family and our community, and working to meet those needs is a powerful witness to God's love for everyone.
